I apologize for not being as faithful with the blog post. We still don't have Internet at school and when I get home late in the evening I don't always get it. I know, excuse, excuses! We've had a busy past few days. The bake sale was a HUGE success today - 5th grade thank you so much for supplying the delicious goodies! Next month the 6th grade will supply the goodies. The students are working in groups to complete a persuasive essay in Language Arts. They will present them on Monday and the "winning" team will receive a prize.

Here is a recap of our day and what is coming up:

Reading - In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson ch 9 due 12/13

Math - L 55 due 12/8 and quiz 12/9

Writing - Persuasive essay due 12/12 - working on this in class in their groups

Spelling - p. 43-44 due 12/8 and test 12/9

Social Studies - read pages 29-32 and took notes on sec 3.1 - States and Capitals quiz (1-25) 12/14

Science - test 12/20

Bible - Luke 2:8-11 due 12/14 and Luke 2:8-14 (12-14 new) due 12/20
