Tuesday, November 8

I apologize for not posting yesterday (Monday). It completely slipped my mind and didn't think of it until late last night. I figured it was a bit of a mute point by then! :) I had the privilege of attending In-Service at Dearborn Public Schools this afternoon. I was able to attend two sessions and found both of them to be so helpful and full of useful information. The students will be happy to know that I learned so new games for Math class, helping with memorizing math facts. I can't wait to use them in class. Laura Davidson was in the classroom for me today. She so enjoyed spending the rest of the day with the students and praised them on their excellent behavior. I have to admit that I was quite proud of my students! Thank you class for being on your best behavior!

Here is a recap of our day:

Reading - no In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson due next week - instead they have a poster project on the "American Dream". Students received a handout and rubric for the project as well as poster board to complete the project - it is due 11/15. I strongly suggest that you work with your student on this helping them to understand what the American Dream is. We talked extensively about it in class, but told the students to talk to their parents too :)

Math - Lesson 39 due 11/8 and test 11/10

Writing - American Dream poster due 11/15

Spelling - p. 30 due 11/9 test 11/11

Science - test today :)

Social Studies - test tomorrow 11/9 and played review game in class today

Bible - Phil. 2:14-16 due 11/9
