Monday, October 31

Make sure to check your child's planner - it is chuck full of information today. Next week is the end of the marking period, so there are a lot of "loose ends" to tie up! I want to commend the students today for working so diligently and quietly this afternoon on their geography work. I was just pleased as punch as they got right to work and worked hard. Thank you students for all your cooperation today. You don't know how encouraging it is for a teacher when you are like that - keep it up! :) I also saw a lot of Jackie Robinson assignments in the arrivals today - I LOVE it - good job for working ahead and getting your work done early. Good habits to develop that will serve you well!

We have our field trip to Oakwoods Nature Center this Wednesday. Thank you to those who sent in permission forms and money. There are still permission slips and $6 needed for the field trip. Also, if you are able to drive please let me know ASAP - Thank you! Students will need a sack lunch as we are eating at the nature center. I told them that it would be best to bring you lunch in a sack, then they could dispose of everything and not have to worry about carrying around their lunch bag, etc. Therefore, do not send anything that needs to be microwaved :) Also, dress appropriately for outside activities as we will be spending the day outside on a hayride, pressing cider, hiking, etc. Dress in layers as it is suppose to be close to 70 on Wednesday, but cooler in the morning.
