Flu, Flu go away!

I don't know how many will check the blog, but I thought I would give you a "rough" update as to what to expect the next week or so when it comes to school work.

First of all I hope everyone who was sick is feeling better and up to snuff. And for those of us who have been able to dodge the flu bullet so far hoping that you are staying healthy! I'm going over my lessons plans right now, second time in two days :), and trying to figure out what the game plan is for the next two weeks. Here's what I've come up with so far. Some things may seem obvious, but I'll state them anyways!

  • No spelling test this week, next spelling test will be next Wed., Nov. 18
  • Social Studies test will be next week - most likely Tuesday or Wednesday
  • No memory verse this week - Mt. 6:19-29 will be bumped to next Wednesday, Nov. 18. If you've memorized the verse you can most certainly say it this week, but if not don't stress about it
  • Jackie Robinson/October was due today (Wednesday). I know many of you have or are close to finishing it, but I will make it due on Friday (that is if you are not sick). If you have not completed it and will be in school tomorrow you will have time in class on Thursday to work on it (I'm thinking positive thoughts that we will indeed have school tomorrow!)

I think that covers everything. Please know that if you are sick I don't expect you to have things done when you get back - focus on getting better! :) I had a newsletter ready on Monday and is in every one's Take Home Mail - but obviously it is obsolete. I will have a new one on Thursday, which will be for next week. Remember we have a half-day on Friday, as it is the end of the quarter. Take care everyone and hope to see you tomorrow!

Just the Four of Us

This was our class today! Monday, November 9 we had 4 students in the 5th/6th grade class and missed the students that were absent! We hope that everyone will be feeling better soon and return back to school - it is just not the same with out you!

We did a little bit of work this morning - finished reading our story and worked on Social Studies Chapter 2 check-up, but also managed to have some fun too - playing games and just hanging out.

Here's hoping that tomorrow our classroom will be full of it's usually chatter and excitement!
